This festival is yet another great one for wine lovers everywhere to pop in their calendar. Sometimes the classics are the best, and this definitely seems to be true with motorbikes. If you are visiting Mijas during June then look out for this popular event. A gathering of classic motorbikes, not only will you see a variety of amazing rides, but you can also pick up parts and memorabilia too!
Flamenco Dance Festival – Mijas Pueblo
What could be more Spanish than Flamenco? The traditional dance is showcased in this amazing festival in July when you can see wonderful traditional dance displays by local and national groups. With around 100 dance students performing throughout the evening, you will be able to see Flamenco in all its glory as well as indulge in some amazing live music too.
San Juan June 23rd
Celebrated throughout the area, San Juan is a celebration of the start of the summer as well as the longest night of the year. The celebration in Mijas Pueblo is usually in and around Calle San Sabastian, and features fireworks and burning of effigies on the coast. It may sound destructive, but in actual fact this a fun, relaxed and family orienteered family festival.
